A Mobile Application to Guide Healthcare Professionals in the Correct Technique for Personal Protective Equipment Use During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Abstract Objectives The present study aimed to develop an application guide healthcare professionals on using personal protective equipment (PPE) during the COVID-19 pandemic and prevent treat skin lesions caused by these devices. Methods This is a technological production. framework for development consisted in following phases: Phase 1–“Design: identification of requirements;” 2–“Application prototype development”: including integrative literature review major databases; 3–“Application construction”: elaboration decision tree, algorithm, database structuring, software development; 4–“Transition”: functionality test. Result Our Simplifica EPI innovative technology; this tool assist PPE. In addition, it describes how care has 25 screens 32 images. It will be available Google Play Store after its registration with Brazilian National Institute Industrial Property. Conclusions After review, was developed as technology great potential use professionals.
